Carebox Connect Network
Trial Subscription
A turnkey direct-to-patient clinical trial recruitment solution for individual studies—powered by the Carebox Connect Network
The Carebox Connect Trial Subscription enables sponsors to launch a complete, direct-to-patient clinical trial recruitment experience for an individual study—driving referral-ready patients to study sites and providing end-to-end visibility into recruitment performance.
Subscribed trials are presented to patients via the Carebox Connect Network, which includes branded clinical trial websites for over 50 patient advocacy organizations as well as the Carebox-branded Carebox Connect website featuring all available trials across the network.
The Trial Subscription delivers the same core recruitment capabilities used by Carebox’s enterprise sponsor platform, including ConditionMatch™ eligibility evaluation, curated trial pages, referral workflows, a patient registry for ongoing engagement, and analytics. While the Carebox Connect Network supports broad baseline visibility for all trials, subscriptions enable deeper curation, sponsor verification and enhancement of matching, referral workflows, and analytics-driven insight.
Extending Reach Through the Carebox Connect Network
Trial Subscriptions include coordinated digital outreach designed to extend trial visibility beyond organic discovery within the Carebox Connect Network. Carebox manages paid outreach through channels such as Google and Facebook to drive condition-relevant patients into the network and to the trial’s Carebox Connect presence. In addition, Carebox can broker incremental outreach opportunities with relevant patient advocacy organizations within the Carebox Connect Network.
Across all websites that are part of the Carebox Connect Network, subscribed trials are designated as Verified, meaning they have been sponsor-curated to ensure data quality and eligibility accuracy, and to support clear next-step referral pathways for patients. Verified trials receive differentiated presentation across across network partner sites and the public Carebox Connect website at connect.careboxhealth.com, resulting in greater visibility and patient engagement relative to non-subscribed trials.
A Different Approach
Study recruitment programs are typically executed as isolated, campaign-based efforts. Each study stands up its own microsite, pre-screener, and outreach plan, with little reuse across trials, limited continuity for patients, and minimal retained insight once recruitment activities wind down.
With a Trial Subscription, an individual study participates in a shared, condition-centric network rather than operating in isolation. Eligibility evaluation is delivered through condition-based questionnaires that are reused across trials targeting the same condition, with trial-specific matching rules layered on top to determine matching outcomes. Subscribed trials work with Carebox to verify and enhance those matching rules—confirming eligibility logic, associating dynamic questions where needed, and ensuring alignment with referral-level qualification requirements.
Because patients encounter multiple studies through the same network over time, recruitment activity becomes observable in ways that are not possible in study-by-study programs. Sponsors gain visibility into how often patients meet eligibility criteria, where and why patients are excluded based on specific eligibility dimensions, which other recruiting trials most frequently co-match with their study, and how referrals progress across participating sites. These insights accumulate over time rather than resetting with each new recruitment campaign.
Recruitment Workflow
Patients encounter trials across the Carebox Connect Network and complete condition-based questionnaires, with trial-specific matching rules determining matching outcomes. For subscribed trials, those matching rules are curated in partnership with sponsors—including review and refinement and, where appropriate, the association of dynamic questions—to validate more specific and granular eligibility requirements in support of referral-level qualification.
For subscribed trials, referral pathways are enabled to connect referral-qualified patients to next steps with participating study sites. In alignment with sponsor guidance and configuration, participating sites receive referrals and report referral status and outcomes, enabling sponsors to monitor referral flow and site performance in near real time.
Patients may opt into ongoing registry-based engagement to remain connected to relevant research opportunities over time. Over time, Trial Subscriptions generate longitudinal insight into how a study interacts with patients across the network, including eligibility-based activity, referral progression, site performance, and eligibility friction patterns observed through Carebox Connect Network Intelligence reporting. These analytics provide sponsors with a continuous, real-world view of recruitment opportunity and constraints as patients explore research options.
